What is YYZ?
We are a housing company, providing modern, fully furnished and affordable rooms to students and working professionals. Our residences are located in Concord, North York and Etobicoke in GTA, Ontario, Canada.

What do rooms include?
Room includes all utilities, internet, laundry, as well as living in a fully furnished unit. It also includes the use of the building amenities, such as a gym, swimming pool, rooftop, and so on (if applicable).

Who can rent with YYZ Housing?
We are a purpose-built housing provider. We provide co-living housing both to students and working professionals. If you have concerns about whether you are eligible to apply, please contact our team at yyzhousing@gmail.com.

How can I book a room?
Choose your location, pick the room you like, send your book request to us. Afterward, you will be directed to our team to finalize your request and payment. You are all set!

How does the rent payment work?
Your first month rent and last month payment is due upon your move-in. You will need to pay your first month rent and last month rent to receive your room keys. In other words, the payment secures your room.

What is the verification process?
After the booking submission, you will be asked to follow the instructions to verify your identity, proof of study/work and other documents (if applicable). We want to make sure we only accept people who are verified to be a good fit for our co-living community.

What is the proof of guarantee?
It is proof that you have a guarantor agreeing to secure or 'guarantee' tenancy agreement/contract. A guarantor can be an individual(parent, spouse, relative, etc.) who promises to pay a tenant's debt in the case the payment has not been transferred for a reason.

How do my friend and I rent an apartment together?
Reservations are done individually, but you may request to live in the same unit with your friend. We do our best to make this happen, but it is based on availability. Please contact our booking team at yyzhousing@gmail.com withfurther questions.

How often do I pay my rent?
We allow flexible lease terms, and rent payment is due every month. A payment plan will be generated and added to the end of your housing agreement for your reference.

What if I want to change my room type?
Room type changes are subject to availability.

How can I pay my rent?
You can pay your rent either by e-transfer or cash in person. For e-transfer, simply send the payment via Interac e-transfer to our provided email address, ensuring you confirm the recipient before sending. If paying cash in person, arrange a time with us to hand over the rent.

Is parking included?
Parking may be provided for an additional fee. Please contact our team for details.

Do you have a cleaning service?
Prior to moving in, your room is cleaned, and you are provided with fresh linens (if applicable). It is up to all roommates to keep their rooms and common areas clean.

What is your guest policy? Due to the unique living environment at YYZ Housing premises, overnight guests are not allowed. You are able to have friends and family visit you occasionally. However, overnight guests overpopulate the unit and are not permitted.

What if I have a roommate issue?
Our residence is a co-living shared space and we encourage open communication to try and resolve any household issues. Please contact our team if you need some further assistance.

What is the check-in process?
Check-in generally begins after 1pm on your planned move-in date. You will receive move-in instructions, which will include the housing coordinator's contact information. You can inform them when you're on the way, or a time you plan to be at the unit and they will meet you.
